Welcome to the world of Opus 74-Flaine, a unique artistic gathering in the heart of the French Alps, taking place from July 18 to August 1, 2026.
Located in Flaine, Haute-Savoie, our festival brings together classical music, visual arts, and cultural experiences to inspire audiences of all backgrounds. Developed in close collaboration with the Syndicat Intercommunal de Flaine and with local cultural and tourism partners, the project is rooted in a strong territorial dynamic and actively contributes to the artistic vitality of this exceptional setting.
Opus 74 – Flaine Académie des arts is not simply a music festival, but an immersive artistic experience. Each summer, over the course of two weeks, we present a series of classical music concerts widely open to the public, alongside demanding masterclasses and a structured pedagogical program. Since 2016, we have expanded our scope to include visual arts, fostering dialogue between disciplines. We also carry out outreach initiatives aimed at young audiences, encouraging musical discovery and nurturing a lasting appreciation for the arts.
Our commitment is to make art accessible while maintaining a high level of excellence, to provide participants with a focused and stimulating working environment, and to offer audiences a sincere and high-quality musical experience.
Flaine is a place where art and nature meet. Situated at an altitude of 1,600 meters in the Alps, the resort is distinguished by its modernist architecture designed by Marcel Breuer and by the presence of major public artworks by artists such as Picasso, Dubuffet, and Vasarely. Its auditorium, renowned for its outstanding acoustics, offers exceptional listening conditions. In this unique environment, mountains, architecture, and artistic creation come together to create an atmosphere that encourages concentration and inspiration.
We welcome artists from Europe, Asia, and the Americas to teach and perform. This diversity fosters an open and demanding dialogue rooted in transmission and human connection. We are committed to providing rigorous and supportive guidance, genuine stage experience opportunities, and an intense and inspiring artistic journey.
